March's Low Relative Humidity (RH)

The month of March falls in the heart of the 'dry' season and is characterized by low rainfall amounts due to a relatively drier atmosphere. March 2014 was no exception to this; 19.3mm of rainfall was recorded at Canefield with a dry spell length of thirteen (13) consecutive days from the middle of the month. The year's total is by no means the lowest ever recorded. However, the dryness of the air was palpable. On March 24, the relative humidity (RH) reached as low as 27% with other days recording RH in the 30s.
